Royal National Park, New South Wales 1984
Location: Royal National Park, New South Wales
Event: Yowie Sighting
Time: Between 11pm and 3am
We always camped along the South West Arm.
I went up to the South Arm in my boat by myself because I needed to get some fresh water from a waterfall and creek. I came into the small cove, about 50m wide and as I came towards the end, I looked up the embankment and I saw a figure standing there.
It then turned around and walked off into the bush.
It was a bright night with good visibility. I saw it clearly. It looked like a really hairy man with really long hair. But hair all over.
The moon was bright enough to see it clearly. It was tall, at least over 6ft. It was just like a big hairy human.
I got out of there as quickly as I could.
I went back to the others and told them and they didn’t believe me. I have told my wife and even she doesn’t believe it.
I know what I saw that night.
