A Leeville couple whose property was ‘visited’ by an unidentified animal on Tuesday night has supplied a photo of footprints apparently made by the creature. Mr Danny Blunt said the photograph was taken at a dry creek bed near his home.
It was from this area that Mr Blunt and his wife heard tree limbs breaking and a loud gnawing sound about 8.30pm on Tuesday.
Mr Blunt said he was not saying he believed the prints and damage to the trees were caused by a Yowie, but he was puzzled as to what had. A Yowie is a mythical ape-like creature similar to the Bigfoot and the Himalayan Yeti.
He said the family dog had been injured that night and a check by a Veterinarian confirmed the dog had been kicked by something big and heavy. Mr Blunt said he would like to hear from anyone who may be able to shed some light on the mystery.
