Location: Barrington Tops, New South Wales

Event: Yowie Sighting

Date of Sighting: 1993

It was 11pm at night and we were coming from Gloucester and had gone 5kms passed the turn off to Nowendoc. At the time, it was a dirt road.

Ahead further up the road, this thing came from the left side of the road to the right and we thought it may have been a Kangaroo. Then it came back from the right to the left across the road in our headlights and then walked behind a tree.

It had no neck on it, hairy and big. We S**t ourselves!

I’m 6ft and it was a lot bigger. The size of it reminded me of a bear, like a standing tall bear. Its hair was brown with streaks of black, shaggy and covered the whole body.

When it came back across the road, with the size of it, it only took about 3 steps to cross the road. It was very solid, chunky.

My passenger was just yelling “Go, go, go!!!”
