Location: Mt. Kembla, New South Wales
Event: Possible Infrasound
Date: 2013
Time: Day
I was bush walking with my son right at the top of Mt Kembla and we came across a deer carcass. The back leg was completely busted backwards like it had been picked up and swung around. It was torn open and everything internal removed, yet not a drop of blood. I’ve worked in the meat industry for many years and I’ve never seen anything like it.
After that I was walking across a creek and returned 20 minutes later to find a large lyrebird feather which I didn’t recall being there before. I bent down to pick it up to take home and I heard this really deep rumbling growl that I actually FELT vibrating through my body. Yeah, I was just leaving anyway….
I walked up the creek embankment about 20 metres further on and I heard the biggest loudest roar that I have ever heard in my life. I couldn’t replicate it. A Lion would be the closest I could think of. This was a roar. It came from about 50m away. I thought, I’m on my way out anyway, no need to follow me whatever you are.
Whenever myself and my son are up there and are separated something normally happens to one or another, like we would hear rock banging or a tree’s snapping.
