Firstly, I had been hearing loud screaming noises coming from the forest. After recording them, sent them to Dean, who forwarded them on to Gary Opit. Gary replied: “Female foxes have a short, repeated, bark-like call that end with a very short scream. These calls are different to any fox calls or to any vocalisations that I have heard so am very interested in them. However, a search on Google may find that they are fox calls, difficult to know”.
Then on the 6th of September, I heard a noise outside which sounded like footsteps alongside the house. I looked out the back door and smelt this foul odour which was a like a burning type of smell. Then I could hear it running towards the front gate. When I got out there, I saw it crouched down on the other side of the gate. It looked like a big black ball or a big wombat.
I turned on the flashlight on my phone and started walking towards it. When I got close, it stood up and it was huge. It had really broad shoulders, long arms and legs. The hair was an orangey type of colour and the arms hung low past the knees.
Then I went back inside and watched it cross the road and disappear from a bedroom window.
In the morning I went outside and found a large footprint in the grass.
