There has been 3 times I have seen whatever this is.  The first time I had my daughter (21), with me while we were coming back from Maitland. It was on Broke Road which runs between Broke and Cessnock. The Broke end of the road is fairly well treed.

We were coming through there about 9.15 to 9.45 a couple of days before Christmas, coming back from the Maitland direction coming into Broke and there was a fairly big thunderstorm happening. It was lit up fairly well and we came up over a hill where on the right hand side there’s a dam where there’s often Kangaroos, wild dogs and pigs etc, and as I’ve come down the hill towards the dam, on the left hand side of the vehicle this thing was just standing smack bang right on the side of the road. On the other side of the white line where the grass line started. Maybe 3m away from the car, that’s where it was standing.

At first I thought it may have been a Kangaroo, then it stood straight up and I thought that’s not a Kangaroo, that’s pretty big and my daughter looked at me and said ‘What the hell is that?’ and as we got closer to it, it stood back a little bit,  maybe about a metre. It was very tall. We were driving a Ford Courier, which is a 4WD so it’s fairly high, and when we went passed where it was standing its head was above the roof line of the vehicle.

My son is 6’6” and he would have come to its shoulders. So a head and shoulders above that would be 7 and a half foot I suppose. It just took one step back and stood there. I looked at it when I went passed, then in the rear view mirror and it was standing there and it looked around at the vehicle after we passed. It turned to face the vehicle after we passed.

I got a fairly good look at it. Its upper torso was like Human, but looked like he’d been on the steroids because he had a really muscular chest, but not a lot of hair on the chest. There was a bit of light reflection off the chest. The first thing that stood out was it didn’t have much of a neck. It had big muscly shoulders and no neck. The head seemed to sit right on the shoulders. Width wise, it was really wide across the shoulders. He would have been 2 or 3 feet across chest, he was really wide.

The eyes were really round. A fairly elongated head, a wide long type of head and a big forehead. From the eye line to where the top of its head it was about twice that of a Human. I didn’t really make out much of a nose or the mouth, I mainly remember the eyes and the forehead.

It had brown ginger hair. The chest didn’t seem to have much on it but on the shoulders and head it was pretty long. It was shaggy like a mangy dog, probably about 10 to 15cm long.  It definitely wasn’t a Human. Just the physical size of it was way too big for any Human I’ve ever seen and it was no guy in a ghillie suit.

The second time I saw it was in either June or July of 2016 and within 100m of the first time I saw it. I came down the hill and two Kangaroos bolted straight across the road so I slowed down and it was on the right hand side of the road this time. It was about 20 or 30m off the road near the dam, walking towards the dam. This was about 5.30pm. I could see it as plain as day. I should have stopped but I didn’t. It didn’t walk bolt upright and it had really long arms.
