Myself and my friend were going for a walk through the bush doing a bit of exploring and so on, as we did back then. We came to a clearing with a few small trees and some old machinery along the Georges River.

My friend Nic looked up and said ‘What’s that?’ – and there was something behind a tree looking around it at us. It was about 3ft tall with short dark hair. We tried to chase it but it was just too fast. We had a laugh afterwards saying ‘Ewok’. Another friend send me a link to your Website and said this sounds like what you saw. We were pretty gobsmacked and wondered what it could have been. It ran on two legs and it was really quick. It didn’t hop, it ran.

At the time it was probably about a 10-15 minute walk from housing. It was an area with grass and tall trees.

The creature was no more than about 5 metres away from us when we saw it. It was about 3ft tall, hairy, medium build. When it was behind the tree looking at us, it looked from the left and then looked from the right, and when we rushed up for a closer look, it did the bolt. It was really quick and disappeared. It had dark brown short hair. About 6-12 months later, I was talking to a mate who is indigenous and he said that’s a Hairyman. I thought he was joking, but when I looked it up it went back to indigenous culture and it was called a Hairyman.

At the time, I couldn’t make out the face. I know that sounds a bit strange, but I couldn’t make it out. It definitely had a human type body. When we got close, it bolted, it was quick. It ran like a person, but really quick. Nic cold run pretty fast but he couldn’t catch up to it. We couldn’t find any footprints which I thought was strange, we tried looking around but couldn’t find any.

It looked like it was trying to look at us without us seeing it. It definitely wasn’t a Kangaroo, it was definitely an Ewok looking thing.

The only other thing that happened that was strange was when we were at the Ingleburn Weir and we heard three loud screams. That was strange. But that’s about it.
