Location: Esk, Queensland
Event: Yowie Sighting
Date: 2000
Time: 1pm
We own 70 acres just North of Esk in the hills near Chestbrook Creek.
I was in a tent at about 1 o’clock, cleaning up and I had heard rustling around in the lantana all day. Cracking noises and stuff like that in the lantana.
I was leaning on the tent looking out the window on the left side looking down the gully and there were two of them walking up the hill on the other side of the gully. It took me a while for it to soak in, but there were two of them walking up the gully. They were big, about 7 ½ to 8ft tall. One was larger than the other. They had really course matted hair. The one in front reached up and snapped off a branch that was near its face.
I rushed out of the tent to get a better look, but they had disappeared. They had really chunky arms, like really muscly. They had a short neck. The one in front was slightly taller. They were in no hurry, just walking casually.
I only saw them from their backs as they were walking away from me.
